Responsive community organisation

HCAP are a community-based charity that works flexibly in one of the most deprived areas of Huntingdonshire, often working alongside both community members and partner organisations, they act as a pivotal organisation initiating and leading community activities in their area.

Juggling funding to support a range of activities that benefit families, younger people and older people requires the organisation to plan to make sure there are continued benefits for residents. A short deadline and partnership funding bid were two opportunities the organisation knew the area would benefit from if the opportunity was seized.

How did we help?

  • Alerted HCAP to the short funding deadline.
  • Supported community consultation for project funding.
  • Helped construct an application to meet the short deadline.

Solutions

Our development officer was able to respond quickly to advise the organisation on how funding applications would be best structured by the organisation to support new and existing projects, and how this would best appeal to the funder and benefit the community at the same time.
