Donor Conceived UK (DCUK)There is an identified need for a national organisation that is peer-led and supports the donor conceived voice and educates and advocates for it here in the UK. As a group we are known as the Donor Conceived Register (DCR) which is quite misleading as we support anyone over the age of 18 who is a DC and DCR is the name of the register set up for pre 1991 conceptions. We probably need a name like Donor Conceived UK or Donor Conceived Council. We have encouragement from the Donor Conceived Network (which is parent led) and the service provider which is currently Liverpool Womens' Hospital NHS and other stakeholders but will also need to apply for funding/fundraise to make this a reality. There is currently no legal structure at all so we are starting from the beginning. We are about to consult amongst our community and explore funding with the HFEA.Advice and guidance, Advocacy/campaigning, Community support, Health and well-beingWebsite
