Learning opportunities

Hunts Forum offers its members many different ways to broaden their knowledge. Over the past few years, we have listened to what you need support with, how you want that information given to you and how you want to engage with us.

With this in mind, we want to give you many ways to learn and upskill your current knowledge base. However, we realise it can be unclear at the time what the options are. So read on to understand the offer and how you engage with it.

Hunts Forum: Good to-know sessions

These speaker-led informal hour networking sessions allow you to quickly learn the top tips or headlines on a subject while also allowing you to ask questions of an expert and have peer-to-peer support. Open to Hunts Forum and CCVS members.

Funding support sessions

Informal peer-to-peer support sessions for those currently applying for funding. These sessions are for those looking to apply for new funds but need support and guidance on the application process.

Hunts Forum, CCVS and Support Cambridgeshire workshops

Workshops will be teacher-led on one subject matter, with time to ask questions. Some workshops with be certified, such as First Aid.

CCVS training sessions and anything with the Support Cambridgeshire logo is open to Hunts Forum members free of charge.

Networking sessions

Support Cambridgeshire and CCVS offer various networking sessions on a range of topics which Hunts Forum members can link in with for free.

Countywide events

Throughout the year, Support Cambridgeshire, the countywide service for the voluntary and community sector. Offer free online events which cover a topic such as funding, volunteers and trustees.

On-demand training

As part of the free offer from Support Cambridgeshire, they offer on-demand training for groups on those frequently asked questions, such as what structure my group should be, how to change my governing document or insurance, and many more. Again, these are free to anyone working within Cambridgeshire and are regularly updated.

CPD Certified training

Support Cambridgeshire has partnered with VSL Learning to offer CPD-certified Safeguarding (Children & Adults), GDPR and Cyber security training for all VCSE groups. This low-cost training allows you to sign up your staff and volunteers to complete training in their own time. To access this training click here.
