Advice & Support
Receive one-to-one support to help you get set up, overcome hurdles and concentrate on achieving your goals. We can help you choose the right structure, develop your vision and mission statements and draft a constitution. We can also advise on charity registration, policies and procedures, volunteer recruitment and management, business planning, project management, funding and fundraising, and much more.
All members will get access to our new members’ portal which will hold a range of information, advice and guidance along with a suite of document templates to support your organisation.
Networking & Events
Opportunities to meet and share good practice with others in the voluntary sector. We run themed networking events throughout the year, both online and in-person. As a member you will have opportunities to meet fellow members along with other guests and forge valuable relationships. In addition your organisation will be listed in our members directory.
Communication
Access to regular newsletters, e-bulletins and funding alerts. Members can submit articles and information for inclusion in our newsletter at no cost. Utilise our website and social media to advertise your job roles. We also help signpost you to other sources of support or help as appropriate.
Review
Have you seen our Good to Go: Good Governance Mark, which allows member organisations to review their key policies, procedures and governance ? Those organisations which achieve the Good Governance Mark will be able to demonstrate to the public, statutory authorities and funding bodies that they have the necessary systems in place to operate safely and effectively.
Training
Access to our free training programme. Courses include funding and fundraising, duties of trustees, budgets and financial planning and safeguarding. See our upcoming training programme here.
As a member, you get 2 places free-of-charge for each of our non-certified training workshops. You will also get access to Support Cambridgeshire training events and networking and Cambridge CVS training where spaces are available. We also offer discounted certified training such as First Aid and Safeguarding, as well as access to discounted bespoke training for groups of your volunteers, staff or trustees.
Funding & Fundraising
Advice such as diversifying income, information about sources of funding in the local area, regionally and nationally plus funding searches through the Support Cambridgeshire portal, letting you customise your search for suitable funding sources specific to your needs (membership of Hunts Forum is not required to access the funding portal).
We can also provide assistance with writing your funding application and review applications through Critical Friend reading with comments and analysis to give you the best chance of being successful in your applications.
Representation
Our unique position allows us to act as a champion for the local VCSE sector. By utilising our strong links with local governance bodies, we can represent our members and the wider VCSE, advocate for its importance and ensure continued support for the sector.
Room & Equipment Hire
Members receive discounted room hire at The Maple Centre. Low-cost hire of our Celexon 203cm by 127cm display screen which is suitable for conferences and events where a telescope or folding screen is insufficient. Coming soon we will have a state-of-the-art hyrbid meeting room space, including PTZ conferencing camera and 75″ screen allowing you to take your online meetings to the next level.
