Come and join us at our Volunteer Fair 4th September!
Hunts Forum of Voluntary Organisations, one of the partners of Volunteer Cambs, will hold a Volunteer Fair at the Maple Centre on Oxmoor Estate on 4th September between 1pm and 4pm.
The event is free and non-ticketed, but it will feature stalls from local charities and community groups that offer various ways of engaging with their work.
Volunteering is soon becoming a great way to spend your time with more and more people who are looking for ways to get away from the screen, and volunteering can offer that, along with the benefits of meeting new people, using skills, gaining work experience, and helping others. It is also a great way to do something free. Most organisations will pay expenses to get you to volunteer opportunities and provide any equipment you might need.
The event will hold various volunteer opportunities, from those with low commitment and events to more in-depth roles where you need specific skills or a block of time dedicated to that role. We also will hold some opportunities for those after 16 years of age.
Come and meet the following organisations on the day:
- Cambridge Rape Crisis
- Caring Together
- The Kite Trust
- Cambridgeshire Deaf Association
- Care Network
- Citizens Advice Rural
- National Trust – Houghton Mill
- Health Watch
- Change Grow Live (CGL)
