Lighthouse Community Group Restarts Events

Hunts Forum member Light House Community Group runs the East Community Centre in Peterborough. Taking over this business in the same week the country entered into its first lockdown back in 2020 was a real challenge, one which they rose up to and are now flourishing on the other side of the Covid-19 restrictions being lifted. The charity are pleased things are now able to return to a newer, more cautious sense of normality and have now been able to start organising events for the community.

On 20th February they held their first community health clinic. This event was set up following a number of concerns raised in the community about difficulties getting appointments with GP’s locally. The event was kindly supported by The Hamptons Hospital Peterborough, who provided doctors and equipment to run a number of health checks at this walk in community health clinic. Nearly 30 people received a range of free checks during this 2 hour event.
