Spend time to save time by attending funding month

March is probably a good time, with financial year ends and spring coming, to step back and plan how to approach your funding needs over the next couple of years.

We know its tough, more to do, less funding and time to do it in.

But by taking a smart approach to funding could save you time in writing applications and also increase your chances of success.

Our free events over funding month  are designed to help your organisation :

  • Draw up a shortlist of possible funders

You need to know about a range of funders from national to local to be able to draw up your short-list, their funding cycles, and criteria.

  • Research which funders are most likely to fund you

Decide what you want funded, is it a good fit? If they don’t fund your area, or say they don’t fund salary costs, believe them, they will not look at your application.

Will your project fit into their deadlines? Are you asking for a proportionate amount?

  • Assess the likelihood and amount of grant you could be awarded

Looking at past giving trends, can help you assess your chances of success and impact of getting/not getting funding on your organisation.

  • Write and submit your application

Understand all the components of a good application, explaining your project and providing evidence of a credible organisation
